Life was good. I couldn't have been happier with Karen (ok, and Sweet Pea). Our life together was written here first.
Karen understood I was just on loan. She took real good care of me til it was time to go back. As I was leaving I felt her warm hand holding my head as she gently whispered "Karen loves Violet" over and over.
All of a sudden Granma was holding me just like Karen used to and I felt strong and I could see and hear better than ever. She introduced me to Dummy, Karen's first dog. Dummy tries to teach me to climb trees, but being Pug-shaped makes it a challenge.
I am happy up here. Happier than I've ever been.

Everybody has favorites
Karen's favorite color is purple. SP likes to nap on his favorite site: freshly folded bedsheets just out of the dryer. Chihuahuas like Taco Bell. I like evergreens.
I had my favorite bushes up in St. Paul. Seems like every corner I turned there was an evergreen waiting to be claimed. Not only would I sniff them, I loved to walk under them a few times for some of the scent to remain on me for a while in addition to evoking squatters rights to the property.
Down in southern Georgia the only evergreens were the Georgia pines. I really didn't care too much for walking on pine straw (got jabbed a few times by the loose needles!) I did however notice a bush type I liked very much, which was, in fact, "ever" green all year... the Azalea. Magnificent colors, low to the ground flowers for sniffing, abundant almost everywhere you go, almost as prevalent as red bugs (aka Chiggers), pecans and smashed Armadillos in the road.
Here in southern Illinois, where I am now, no Chiggers, thank God, but I am drawn to the scent of the evergreen again, particularly the little sapling next to my neighbor's front porch. It's my hangout, my hood, my favorite place. If you look out and don't see me right away, look next to Martha's bush, I'll be sniffing around.

Sleep sleep sleep: It's what I do
The Borg. They had it down to a science. Their only purpose in sleeping was to recharge so they could complete duties and be a catalyst for the Collective.
They could care less about blowing things up or terminating a whole race. They had to push the button and collect data all day. Then after their shift, they would go to their cells and recharge.
That's pretty much my day too. Work work work at getting food all day. It's a tough life. I try to sleep as much as possible; to recharge for the next shift of scrounging and begging.
Sleep is good. Oh, I get my share of causing mayhem in my dreams. Who needs the possibility of harm to you in the real world when you can give your alpha ego a boost in the dream state. I am the Commander of my dreams. I always win, I am the fastest, loudest, strongest. Just watch me sometime when I am sleeping.

QUOTE OF THE DAY: Let sleeping dogs lie.
